Gimp Stuff

Today is Monday 22nd January 2007 and I think it's about time to start all over again, but I will be leaving some of the old stuff at the bottom just for insurance.  Let's start with a display of Toby's best effort so far.

Then I'm going to blow it up to 640 pixels x 640 pixels just so I've got something to compare my new version with.

Next I get the gimp to give me a new file and to give it a 640 x 640 transparent background layer. Then I import the gif above as a layer and then on a third layer I draw a set of skis and save the file. Then I make a gif from just the skis layer and show it to you below. I think it's just the finest set of skis that a ski-smiley could aspire to and that they snugly fit our square, but if you think otherwise, Toby, then please either tell me what you want or draw on this gif and send it to me.

So of course the next thing to do is to add another layer made up of a black circle filled with yellow and to make a gif out of that.

Now we can have a quick preview of what it will look like when we put it all together and then make it small.

Next those shades.

A mouth.

Well, I got that a bit wrong but let's press on with the dimplesp; No let's just see what it looks like at various sizes first.

And now after a little bit of work on the mouth.

And this time some work on Toby's ideas.
